Winnebago RV Club gathering in Adelaide

July 25th, 2011

What a night! There was no wind and the air was balmy. We all sat around our  bonfire and ate gourmet pizzas to our heart’s content. And delicious they were too, straight out of the trailer oven brought along by Amore Wood Fire. Met new friends, swapped yarns. Many thanks to all who participated.

Kalamazoo Crossing – Winnebago supporting the Flying Doctors

June 8th, 2011

The Kalamazoo Crossing 2011 team will push off from Adelaide (Snowtown) on July 24 aboard a Kalamazoo – a hand-powered railcar called Olive – bound for Darwin, 3000km away.  They hope to set a new Guinness World Record for the fastest crossing of the country by a hand-powered rail vehicle – also the longest trip by Kalamazoo.

Winnebago are one of the supporters of the event, a fun filled and exciting journey through Australia’s red centre with spectacular scenery, quirky outback activities and a charitable goal, raising much needed funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Winnebago’s long time charity of choice.

The Winnebago RV Club is getting into the spirit of the adventure and some of its members are joining the team.  WRVC members attending the Kalamazoo Crossing will meet up at Winnebago’s South Australian dealer, Winnebago Adelaide, on July 22 for a welcome dinner and musical feast around a huge campfire before setting off to Snowtown to meet up with the Kalamazoo crew.

27′ Winnebago Longreach in the new blue

May 24th, 2011

This new 27′ Longreach is the shorter version (the other is 31′), with just the one slide out, and perhaps more manageable for some. It’s fitted with a good sized double cafe  (you could have a 3-seater lounge instead if you’d rather), and the head of the bed is against the rear wall. The shower and toilet/vanity are still either side of the bedroom door. It’s so-o-o nice, and here now, so ring us soon to arrange your Longreach C2735SL test drive.
